Here are some useful tips to help you stay comfortable, prepared, and ready to make the most of your race weekend at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.

Food and drink

Concession stands throughout the Raceway offer classic race-day favorites such as burgers, hot dogs, pizza, nachos, and more. You’ll also find plenty of options for soft drinks, beer, coffee, and bottled water.

Outside food and drink rules at Pocono Raceway are quite fan-friendly. Fans are allowed to bring coolers on all three event days, provided they are no larger than 14” x 14” x 14”. Communication

Download your tickets and any event information before you leave, as mobile networks can become congested on race day. If you’re attending with friends or family, choose a meeting location ahead of time so you can reconnect easily if you get separated.

Noise

Pocono Raceway is famous for its speed, atmosphere, and sound. Engine noise quickly fills the grandstands, so ear protection is highly recommended. Earplugs or headphones are strongly advised, and children should always wear proper hearing protection.

Taxi & rideshare

Uber, Lyft, and local taxi services operate in the Pocono region, but demand increases significantly on race days. Use the clearly marked drop-off and pick-up areas outside the venue. Arrive early, and plan ahead for your return trip, as wait times may be longer after the race.

Daytime temperatures commonly range from the mid-70s to mid-80s °F (around 24–29 °C), while evenings can cool down into the 50s–60s °F (10–18 °C). Sun protection is important, so bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Light rain or passing thunderstorms are also possible, so a poncho or light jacket is useful.
