Parking

Parking at Pocono Raceway is one of the easiest parts of your race weekend. All general parking at the track is free and located just outside the main entrances, meaning you can park close to the venue and walk directly to the gates. Parking areas are clearly marked, and staff members help guide vehicles as they arrive to keep traffic flowing smoothly.

Because the Raceway sits in a more rural area of the Pocono Mountains, there aren’t many hotels immediately next to the track. If you are staying overnight, most fans look for accommodation in nearby towns such as Stroudsburg, Mount Pocono, or Scranton, all within a reasonable driving distance.

Directions – how to get to Pocono Raceway

For the easiest route, simply enter “Pocono Raceway” into Google Maps. This will guide you directly to Gate 7 (Hullman Road), which provides convenient access to the main parking areas.

If you’re using Apple Maps or another GPS app, it may try to route you toward the Infield Tunnel at Gate 1, which is not the primary entrance for most guests. Please follow the instructions below instead:

  • Grandstand ticket holders: Use Gate 5 via Long Pond Road or Gate 7 via Route 115.
  • Camping guests: You must check in at RV / Camping Registration, located through Gate 7 off Route 115, before entering the property.

As you approach the raceway, always follow the signs and the instructions of local law enforcement and parking staff.

Quick regional directions

  • From I-80: Exit at 284 for PA-115 toward Blakeslee, then continue on PA-115 South for about 3–4 miles to the track.
  • From I-81: Travel to I-80 East, then exit at 284 for PA-115, and follow PA-115 South to the Raceway.
  • From I-476 (PA Turnpike): Take Exit 95 to I-80 East, then take Exit 284 for PA-115, and follow PA-115 South to the track.
  • From I-78: Connect to I-476 North, then follow the route listed above via I-80 East and PA-115.

Helpful parking tips

  • Arrive early: Traffic increases significantly as race time approaches, so getting there ahead of the rush makes parking quicker and less stressful.
  • Follow signage and staff instructions: Parking teams help direct vehicles into the correct lots and keep traffic organized.
  • Know your exit plan: Traffic can be heavy after the race. Parking a lot closer to your expected exit route can help you leave faster.
  • Accessible parking: Designated ADA parking areas are available for guests with valid government-issued permits, located close to the gates for easier access.
