Traveling by car

Pocono Raceway is located in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, right in the heart of the scenic Pocono Mountains. Known as “The Tricky Triangle,” it’s one of NASCAR’s most unique tracks, featuring long straights, challenging corners, and a great race-weekend atmosphere with plenty of fan activities. With nearby towns like Mount Pocono, Blakeslee, and Stroudsburg, it’s easy to turn your visit into a full weekend getaway.

Race-day traffic in the area can build up quickly, so arriving early is strongly recommended. If you have a parking pass, review the details ahead of time, as some lots require specific entry routes. Local law enforcement and track staff manage traffic flow and will direct vehicles into the correct parking areas as lots open.

Directions

Pocono Raceway is accessible via several major roads, including:

• Interstate 80
• Interstate 380
• Pennsylvania Route 115, which leads directly toward the track

Follow event signage and the instructions of police and traffic attendants, as routes may change depending on traffic volume.

• New York City – about 2 to 2.5 hours
• Philadelphia – about 2 to 2.5 hours
• Allentown / Lehigh Valley – around 1 hour
• Scranton / Wilkes-Barre – around 1 hour
• Harrisburg – about 2.5 hours

Travel times may be longer on race weekend.

Extra tips

Expect heavy congestion approaching Long Pond several hours before the race.  If directions from the police differ from your GPS, always follow onsite guidance. Use official Pocono Raceway parking areas only, as roadside or unauthorized parking is restricted. Arriving early not only helps avoid traffic but also gives you more time to enjoy the Fan Zone, displays, and pre-race entertainment.
